Celebrate the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the Puyallup Tribe
Celebrate the launch of this historic event with a joyful celebration rooted in culture.
Festivities begin with a community parade traveling from 38th St. down Portland Avenue, bringing neighbors, youth and partners together in celebration. The parade culminates at the Puyallup Tribe of Indians’ Headquarters, where the Tribal community will host traditional opening ceremonies and share a Lushootseed traditional narrative to mark this historic moment.
The evening concludes with a fireworks display, visible from the Puyallup Tribal Administration front lawn, welcoming visitors from around the world to our region.

- 7:45 p.m. — Community parade begins at 38th St. and Portland AVE.
- 8:45 p.m. — Traditional Welcoming Ceremony
- 10:15 p.m. — Fireworks Display

Parking & Transportation
- Public Transportation: Pierce Transit has a bus route that stops at Puyallup Tribal Health Authority which is a short walk to the Opening Ceremony location
- ADA accessibility: There is ADA parking adjacent to the administration building as well as the parking garage
